Data Collected from Website Visitors
Known Access only collects non-personally-identifiable information from visitors to our Website including but not limited to browser type, referring website, and the date and time of visitor requests. This information is used to better understand how our visitors use our Website.
Data Collected from Visitors who Sign Up
During the sign up process, we collect some personal information from you. This consists of your name, phone number and email address, and some information about the company that you work for. This information is securely stored in our database and used only to communicate with you. We also ask you to choose a password so that if you decide to use our Service, you can securely log in to our Website to configure and manage the Service. Your password is (one-way) hashed beforing storing in our database, so it is not possible to recover it under any circumstances.
We do not share Visitor information with any third party except as outlined in this document.
Data Collected from Customers who Start Service
In addition to the data collected during sign up, a customer who uses our Service has to provide some more information to Us. This includes the IP address of your router(s) and router shared secret(s). You are also required to provide Us the user ID, password, name, phone number and email address of each user who will be accessing our Service. All of this information is required for the proper operation of our Service.
This information is also securely stored in our database and not shared with any third party (except as outlined in this document). Before storing, the passwords are (one-way) hashed.
Data Collected in NacPass
When you install our mobile application, you are required to provide your User ID. For security reasons, the User ID is encrypted before storing in the NacPass app. NacPass also collects information such as the mobile device ID, OS type, version, etc. to make certain NacPass functions, such as push notifications, work properly.
When registering with NacPass, you are also required to select a passphrase. Your passphrase is used to secure your account. It is one-way hashed, and securely stored within NacPass and on our servers.
To monitor and improve our offerings, we use analytics tools provided by Google (“Analytics Tools”). These tools may use tags to collect and analyze information about your use of our Website, Service and mobile applications.
Disclosure Of Data
Known Access Inc. may disclose the data in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary:
- To comply with a legal obligation
- To protect and defend the rights or property of Known Access Inc.
- To prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service
- To protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public
- To any successor or purchaser in a merger, acquisition, liquidation, dissolution or sale of assets.
Your consent will not be required for disclosure in these cases, but we will attempt to notify you, to the extent permitted by law to do so.
Removal of Data
Deleting your account with Us will trigger personal information stored by the Service to be deleted over a period of time, excluding information required to be persisted for legal and/or reporting purposes.
Children's Personal Information
As a provider of enterprise security services, our Service and Website is not intended for use by children under the age of 18, so children under the age of 18 should not use it at any time. Known Access does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 18. If we discover that we have received personal information from a child under the age of 18, we will promptly delete such personal information in a secure manner.
